“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:25-26 This Sunday will continue our sermon series of looking at different parts of the Gospel of John as we prepare our hearts for Easter. While we do that, let me ask you this: As we head toward Easter, is there something missing in your relationship with God? Is there a longing in your heart? In John chapter 3, we are introduced to a man named Nicodemus, who seems to have it all together. He’s a good guy, influential, and shows respect to Jesus. But for all that he stands for and has accomplished, something is missing with his relationship with God. And so he seeks out Jesus, because he has some questions. He wants this longing in his heart to be met. Jesus answers him in an unexpected way that totally challenges Nicodemus' view of God and how he can be right with God, and it may very well challenge you as well – and that’s what we'll be looking at this Sunday. -Jason
