In Search of a King

‘you wanted a king to reign over you, even though the Lord your God was already your King…’ 1 Samuel 12:12

I see myself on almost every page of the Bible—and not necessarily in a good way! They had their fill of judges, so they wanted a king. ‘The problem can’t possibly be ME?!?’ Right? The names changed but the problem remains.

It’s too easy for me to forget God when things are going OK. Life gets sideways and I look for a quick fix. I hit bottom and cry out for help. Thank God for His mercy, and grace!

Let’s evict whatever else has climbed onto the throne of our lives, come to the Mercy Seat of God, and worship.
