Do you like to work under deadlines? While deadlines are not always enjoyable and at times can cause stress, one of the benefits of a deadline is that it causes us to stay focused. And this is the concern of James in our passage Sunday morning (James 4:13-5:11). That we stay focused and live in a way where we know our time on this earth is limited and where Christ could return at any moment. And I think what we’ll find this Sunday, is that what James says will be a help and a comfort as we live out our faith in this world that at times is so chaotic and unstable.
