God wants a more than Sunday relationship with your kids, too.
The church's impact in a kid's life is meaningful, but it pales in comparison to the potential influence you can have as a parent.
We want to offer these resources to you as you teach your kid about Jesus & have spiritual conversations with them as they grow.
This free app helps you build a spiritual foundation with your kids as they grow. You'll find helpful content for each age & stage that mirrors the same topics we talk about with your kids each Sunday morning.
One of our favorite books for little ones is the Jesus Storybook Bible. It contains beautifully illustrated stories from the Old and New Testament that highlight our need for Jesus starting in Genesis and all the way through Revelation. If you don't have a copy of this but would like one, email amanda@fbcplattecity.com and we'll make sure you can get one.
Encourage your kids to read the Bible along with you. The New International Readers Version is designed for a third-grade reading level. One of our favorite NIrV Bibles is the Illustrated Holy Bible for Kids because it's got an easy-to-follow 1 column layout and it's packed full of colorful illustrations.
Imagine the Bible being made into a graphic novel-- that's the Action Bible. You'll find 215 narratives in chronological order with engaging graphics.
For kids ages 6-12, consider this workbook as a way to engage kids with their own Bible. Weekly entries include daily Bible readings, prayer prompts, discussion questions, memory verses, and space for sermon notes.
Consider The Bible Study if you or your teenager would like to go a little deeper in your study of scripture. There's one book dedicated to the Old Testament (Part 1) and one for the New Testament (Part 2). In each book you'll find simple recaps with a short overview, thought-provoking questions, appealing graphics, and maps.
Think of the Filament Bible as a high-tech paper Bible. The Bible itself is laid out in an easy-to-read single column format but comes with a feature-rich app that includes study materials, notes, devotionals, maps, graphics, music, and more. This is great for reading through the text without getting distracted from the "extras" of traditional study Bibles, but still having them easily accessible.
The Bible App for Kids features interactive stories and games along with engaging videos for young kids.
RightNow Media offers a streaming library of videos for all ages, including animated shows for kids as well as engaging documentary-style content for older students, and Bible studies for adults.
