There is more to building a home than getting married, building a career, and having kids. A home requires us to build healthy habits, to find out what works with our family and repeat those things in order to maintain our quality of life. When we get stressed, our routine and flow of life suffers greatly. We quickly fall out of healthy habits that were helping to hold our family together. On September 12th, Nick Macaluso, licensed psychologist, will lead us in a discussion of how to grow in our consistency.
Childcare is available with RSVP.
Kids in Action is a weekly missions group for Kindergarten through 4th grade students. This group learns about how God is working in the world today and teaches kids that they have a purpose in God's plan. Kids participate in praying, giving, and doing missions so they can learn how to make an impact on their community and around the world.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a group for moms of young kids. This group meets monthly on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30am with brunch and a speaker. Childcare is available.
An evening group "MOMSnext" group for moms of school-aged kids is also available for moms who are working or unavailable during the day. Because MOPS is an international group, regsitration is required. Please inquire about our monthly evening group and scholarships by emailing plattecitymops@gmail.com
Jason is leading us through a discussion about why membership is a valuable aspect of church life. This is a time to get your questions answered and decide if you want to take that next step. Anyone who wants to learn more is welcome to join.
This class is offered during the 11am service so that childcare is available.
No more pretending. No more performing. No more fighting to prove yourself. Too many of us walk through life feeling like we don’t measure up. We always seem to thirst for more. We think if we could only work harder or be better, we could be enough. But the truth is, we will never be enough. Thankfully, we don’t have to be.
In this 8-session study, Jennie Allen walks through key passages in the Gospel of John that demonstrate how Jesus is enough. We don’t have to prove anything because Jesus has proven everything. Discover how our thirsty hearts can only be quenched by the living water.
This study is for women of all ages and is offered both on Sundays at 6pm or Wednesdays at 10am. Study Guides are provided.
Our Fall Festival is an opportunity for our whole church to come together for food and fun. Of course, no Fall Festival is complete without a hayride. Dinner is provided, but we welcome families to bring a dessert to share. Don't forget your lawn chairs!
