I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:3-6

 

All of the churches the apostle Paul planted during his missionary work, the church in the city of Philippi may have been the most special to him. They cared deeply for him, and they partnered with him in the advance of the gospel. 

 

This Sunday, we’ll be in Acts 16:12-34, and we’ll find out how this church began. But we’ll also find that this church was made up of a unique collection of individuals with different backgrounds and who found themselves at different points along their spiritual engagement journey. 

 

Hope you can be there Sunday at 9:30am or 11am, as we learn about this church in Philippi and what it means for us as we think about our own spiritual journey and how to engage others on their journey.
