‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is ONE! Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.’
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
This is the 'SHEMA.' It’s the cornerstone of faith in the Old Testament. Twice-daily prayer for Israel to re-center their hearts, heads, and hands on the presence of God in their hearts and lives.
What if we could use it the same way? What if I could remind my heart, focus my mind, and set my strength to the pursuit of God a couple of times in my day? What if I could strategically remind myself to remember what is most important—WHO is most important?
At the start of every day and the end of every day to take stock and fix my eyes on Jesus would make me a better man. A man after God’s own heart.
Let’s worship around all that this Sunday. I can’t wait to be with you and open the Word of God together!
I LOVE Being Your Pastor!
