What comes to mind when you think of the exodus story – the Israelites deliverance from slavery found in Exodus 1-15? Moses, the reluctant leader? The cruelty of Pharoah? The devastating plagues? Charlton Heston… let me get a little more recent…Christian Bale (did anyone actually watch that movie)?
The exodus story is the central story of the Old Testament. It’s dramatic, but why are the events of the exodus so central? How does this story that took place over 3,000 years ago relate to us today?
