“He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness rather than light; indeed, he has turned his hand against me again and again, all day long.
-Lamentations 3:2-3
In our time together on Sunday, we’ll be looking at the book of Lamentations. Now, we might think the book of Lamentations doesn’t really relate to us today because we aren’t facing the same dire situation as Jeremiah and the nation of Judah with the fall of the city of Jerusalem.
But yet, the reality of this life is that we all face hardship, confusion, and suffering at some point. And the book of Lamentations, along with other laments we find in the Old Testament are there to help us in moments of despair. The laments are there to help us when our heart is heavy.
Hope you can be there this Sunday at 9:30am or 11am.
